STORAGE/DISPOSAL > Details

Oil storage installations should be sited on an impervious base and surrounded by an oil-tight bund wall. The bunded area should be large enough to contain at least 110% of the volume of the tank. All the pipes and gauges should be enclosed within the bund, and the vent pipe directed downwards into the bund. There should be no drainage outlet in the wall and the installation should be protected from vandalism. Further details can be found in:
