Under the Duty of Care, waste producers must classify and describe their wastes correctly to ensure the safe and correct procedures for disposal. Wastes arising from medical areas especially developer fixer and silvers are likely to be classed as Hazardous Waste under the forthcoming European Waste Catalogue in 2005.
