A Satellite Accumulation Area is a designated area near a process or location that generates hazardous waste where wastes are stored until they are moved to a central Hazardous Waste disposal area. Procedures, policies and methods will vary but the underpinning legilsation for storage and disposal are Duty of Care and Hazardous waste regulations, dependent on the type of waste.
