AIR > Overview
General air quality in the UK is regulated by the Clean Air Act
1993. Other subsidary regulations such as:
- Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) and/or
- Local Air Pollution Control (LAPC)
under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 Part I act to regulate
industrial activities and air emissions. These Regulations are designed
to protect air quality from emissions of volatile organics compounds
(VOCs) or other air pollutants originating from fuels, paints, organic
