AIR > Overview

General Air quality in the UK is regulated by the Clean Air Act 1993 along with other subsidary regulations such as:

  • Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) and/or
  • Local Air Pollution Control (LAPC)

The Environmental Protection Act 1990 Part I regulates industrial activities and air emissions. These Regulations are designed to protect air quality from emissions of volatile organics compounds (VOCs) or other air pollutants originating from fuels, paints, organic solvents, and other compounds used in grounds/vehicle maintenance facilities operations.

Details of regulations to storage of fuels is mentioned in the 'power plant' section. Continue through this section of EVC to learn more.
