This section of the EVC covers the topic of hazardous waste management in an art studio, specifically associated with paints and glazes. The following materials invoke the Hazardous Waste Regulations: waste paint thinner, waste solvents, paint waste, latex paint that may contain heavy metals, lead or mercury, partially full paint spray cans and other products deemed by the regulations to be a hazardous waste. As always, it is important to check with your EH&S office to determine the appropriate course of action to take with hazardous waste management.
