The University of Gloucestershire is the first English university to gain campus-wide accreditation to the environmental management system (EMS) standard, ISO14001, and will present on its implementation, and benefits. The sector's rising interest in EMS is also indicated by HEFCE funding for the EcoCampus project, which will provide a template for an education specific model. The event will provide the first public opportunity to hear about the content and plans of EcoCampus, and how it relates to ISO 14001. Download flier

by the Panto Dames. If delegates wish hard they might appear at this event
– but just look behind you to make sure you haven’t discarded
anything by mistake! The speakers include their employer, the Union’s
President, Jack Woodhams; Antje Danielson, now of the University of Durham
but previously worked on student awareness programmes at the Harvard University
Green Campus Initiative); and Dr Liz Sharpe from University of Bradford,
who will describe the latest research on how to effectively communicate
environmental messages.
