HEEPI aims to improve the environmental
performance of universities and colleges by:
- Developing environmental benchmarking within further and higher education
- Running events to share best practice and build networks
- Providing an information resource
Environmental Benchmarking
- A database of energy and water consumption in over 300 buildings
- A standard questionnaire to assess transport impacts
Events
- Benchmarking workshops on specific buildings
- Showcasing best practice e.g. metering, sustainable construction
- Identifying new opportunities e.g. financing energy efficiency
Information Resources
- Case studies and guidance documents
- Web site material
- Knowledge broking (e.g. on new buildings)
HEEPI is financed by the Higher Education Funding
