The Transport Co-ordinator's Responsibilities at the University of Hertfordshire |
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the development and implementation of the Travel Plan's action programme
- Obtaining commitment and support all parties
- Design and implement effective promotional and awareness campaigns.
- Co-ordinate and maintain the effectiveness of the Transport Working Group.
- Data collection, monitoring and measurement of travel habits and attitudes to assess the achievement of targets set as well as identifying new ones.
- Act as a point of contact or provide a ‘one stop shop' for staff, students and visitors requiring travel information.
- Work closely with different departments such as Personnel, Estates, External Relations and University bus .
- Work with other departments such as Estates and external consultants to ensure travel issues are integrated into development plans for new build.
- Recommend improvements for business travel to reduce economic and environmental costs
- Recommend a car parking strategy that is self-funding with the possibility of resources ring fenced to provide alternative transport provision.
